Palm Sunday - March 25, 8am and 10:30am

On this Sunday, we commemorate both  Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem (Palm Sunday) and enter in to the sacred mysteries of our Lord’s Passion (The Sunday of the Passion).  


Maundy Thursday - March 29 , 6:00pm

Holy Eucharist and foot washing

Christ commands his disciples to love one another.  In this service we remember this mandate and participate in serving one another.


 Good Friday - March 30, noon to 3pm.

Good Friday liturgy and Stations of the Cross

The Good Friday liturgy takes place at noon at Ware.  The Rev. Sven vanBaars, rector of Abingdonpreaches.   

Stations of the Cross will be set up on  the church grounds so that individuals may walk the way of Christ on this day.  A final prayer takes place at 3 pm in the church.

 The Great Vigil of Easter March 30, 6:30pm

On the Yorktown waterfront at the Watermen’s Museum

 This service is the a festive celebration of our Lord’s resurrection. At this service the Paschal candle is lighted, the story of God’s redemption is remembered, and Baptism and Eucharist are celebrated.

This service is a joint service of Abingdon, Grace in Yorktown, St. Paul's Episcopal and Reformation Lutheran in Newport News, and  Kingston Parish, Mathews.

Bring a chair, blanket, flashlight and bells.
